A Different View

Maybe my crafting reflects the weather, so here you have another card using Delightful Decorations, but a very different colourway. The idea for this design came from an American crafter (sorry I can't remember who). I like the gentle look, while it still has a sophisticated Christmas feel using colours based on our garden as the snow slowly melt.

The colours come from the new Neutral Collection in the Stampin' Up! 2010/11 catalogue. These are just delicious to work with and are so versatile, and the best thing not only do you have the card and the inks, but also Designer Paper and accessories like brads and ribbons. I'm sure you will see more examples from this palette in the coming weeks.
So thanks for looking and keeping crafting.

Reflecting the Snow

I know it’s almost Christmas and most of you will have done all your Christmas cards, but some of us are still working on them. And with time marching on, I thought about simple, clean lines that stand out, but still have the Christmas feel.

Reflecting the cold, snowy weather that we all have at the moment, I’ve used the Delightful Decorations stamps set, with the Ornament Punch (which you can use to make a flower vase or even a fish!) The bauble has been stamped on Night of Navy card using Versamark, and then embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To get the navy showing through I gave this a strong tap to clear some of the powder away. The Merry Christmas comes from Season of Joy and in stamped in Night of Navy.

Quick to make and so in keeping with our weather.

Thanks for calling in and keep crafting!
